The club had its first meeting in August 1984 and was incorporated in
2001 with the aims of making it as accessible as possible to all
people with an interest in all pre-Second World War and early post
Second World War SS and JAGUAR cars whether they be owners, drivers or
enthusiasts and to promote fellowship among members through rallies,
workshops, outings, meetings, special interest speakers and the like.
The club is structured so that it has only one general meeting a year
where the office bearers (president, secretary and treasurer) are
elected and other issues raised. The office bearers are the Management
Committee and meet quarterly to conduct club business. The club
publishes a quarterly newsletter for members containing write ups of
outings, technical articles of interest and other items of interest to
club members.
The club encourages members to use their cars and has at least one
longer four to six day run a year. Other runs are usually day runs
with the occasional overnight run.
The club has a strong social focus and events that are held cater for
the interests of both sexes. Members of the club have a wealth of
knowledge of the cars and offer help and assistance to members
sourcing parts and restoring cars.
