People who collect ex-military vehicles or have an interest in
ex-military vehicles join the AMVCS. Members are predominantly from
Sydney and country NSW, although we have members from further afield
including overseas.
The club was formed in 1975 and meets at the Ashfield RSL Club on the
second Wednesday of the month at 8pm. There are various activities
during the year to places near Sydney and also in other parts of NSW.
We are a family orientated club and enjoy social gatherings as well as
vehicle events. A winter rally is organised annually in August,
usually in the Oberon area. A historic vehicle club registration
scheme is in operation. We have a monthly newsletter keeping members
up to date with club meeting details, events, sales and wanted, plus
event reports etc. This is available via email or mailed as a printed
copy. Any type of ex-military vehicle is welcome in the club and
members have a diverse range of vehicles in their ownership. Help and
