A strong family involvement in motor racing has seen at one time his entire family racing karts, mum, dad, and his sister as well. James karting skills saw him compete in the Australian Championships and then travel to Portugal for the 2012 World Series achieving a very credible 7th overall. His latest foray is into Formula Fords and with only a few outings in the State series broke the lap record at Eastern Creek. His goal in motor sport is to take it as far as he can in whatever category he competes in.
